As late blooming snow progresses on the East Coast, we reflect back on what was a very funky 2nd Annual Winter Get Down! Big love to all the alumni who made it back and extra love to all the amazing new riders who joined the Shred Class of 2023!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Winter Get Down family takes a ton of pride in bringing key music and cultural players from the NYC creative industry landscape, Upstate to the mountains to focus on the main pillars of our gathering: snowboarding, wellness, food & bev, and of course, getting funky on the turntables + dance floor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We were blessed to return to the epic & cozy Glen Falls House<\/a> resort that featured the perfect audiophile sound system tavern to host our DJ dance party + the youngest Michelin star chef, Joey Elenterio<\/a>, who crafted us 3 days of mouthwatering cuisine, geared towards a professional snowboarders diet.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the music tip, this year\u2019s edition saw us welcome NYC Radio\/DJ Legend, Stretch Armstrong<\/a>, highly sought after industry DJ’s + multi media artists, Quiana Parks<\/a> & Niara Sterling<\/a>, Parliament Funkadelic associate, Eli from Soul Clap<\/a>, and respected reggae vinyl digger\/DJ + hot sauce queenpin, Queen Majesty<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Returning music alum included world touring eclectic producer & selector, Quantic<\/a>, legendary turntablist\/party rocker, Skratch Bastid<\/a>, wonder twins Angel+Dren<\/a>, deep record digger, Fly Hendrix<\/a>, and our resident DJ\/Curator Willy Soul<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was so beautiful to see everyone hit the mountain and progress together as a soulful unit. Hunter Mountain<\/a>, provided us with the shredding terrain we needed to put a grin on everyone\u2019s face : ) We had some of the hottest DJs learning a new sport on the bunny hill, to experts cruising along with riders from the Burton Snowboards<\/a> family. This year we were joined by underground snowboarding favorites, Alex Caccamo<\/a> & Brett ‘Wilky’ Wilkinson<\/a>, who led the momentum, teaching new riders how to shred + popping off a backflip or two in the terrain park as a demo for our more advanced riders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special shout out to Angel + Dren and Willy Soul, who started on the bunny hill last year and are now leveling up from NY to Colorado, shredding world class mountains while garnering heart sign emojis from their favorite gold medal Burton pros! A new passion has been gained by many through the Get Down!<\/span><\/p>\n

None of the overall vibes of the Winter Get Down would be achieved without the love and support of the riders, dancers & our incredible brand partners. We have so much love to show our family at Burton Snowboards<\/a>, Fat Tire<\/a>, Hudson Whiskey<\/a>, Aperol,<\/a> Campari<\/a>, Espolon Tequila<\/a>, Montelobos Mezcal<\/a>, Appleton Estate<\/a>, Bhang Chocolate<\/a>, RAMONA Wine Spritz<\/a>, Top Seedz<\/a>, and Oscity Labs CBD<\/a>, for not only supporting us, but blessing us with their high quality products that elevated our experience.<\/span><\/p>\n
