Winter Get Down California 2025 Spring Session – Photo + Video Recap!

Dear Shredders,

As the Spring warmth blesses us in North America, we look back on what an epic 2025 Snowboarding season that was had thanks to our Après Music Snow Series; The 4th Annual Winter Get Down! We started off strong in New York and Vermont before we had our grand finale in the Sierra Nevada, shredding world-class snow at Mammoth Mountain in 50 degree weather in late April!

What make’s this après snowboarding and music gathering so special is our core fam of riders, DJs, music artists, cultural thought leaders, and wellness pros; the soul of all of TheGoodLife! events. It’s important to also acknowledge that none of this would be possible without our tasteful, hand selected, brand partners.

Shout out to our boutique hotel partner this year, Outbound Hotels, for providing the feel-good lodging we needed—and of course, major love to Burton Snowboards for supporting us for the fourth year in a row and equipping us with the most high-tech gear a rider could ask for.

We were blessed to work with the coolest pickle brand in the game, Grillo’s Pickles, who seriously supported the culture by backing this event—and kept us fed with their premium product! It was also great to partner with the best snow adventure and bus company, OvRride; one of America’s favorite beer brands, Pabst Blue Ribbon; the Primo Hot Sauce family, Queen Majesty Hot Sauce; the all-natural juice energy drink, Gorilla Energy; the most pure and natural sunscreen, Forah; for protecting us from the high altitude solar rays, and Herschel Supply Co.; who hooked up our guests with incredible waterproof backpacks. Honorable mentions go out to Donna’s Pickle Beer and Old Pal Cannabis for bringing that California heat!

Guests arrived in Mammoth on Friday, 4/19, for a lovely family dinner, followed by our official Reggae Night at Outbound Hotel’s Bar Sierra. We knew we had to fly in one of Kingston’s finest—Yaadcore—for an authentic evening of dubby vibes. He was supported by TheGoodLife! DJ favorites: Queen Majesty, DJ Gravy, and Jasmine Solano!

We woke up bright and early on Saturday, heading straight to Mammoth Mountain for what was bound to be an epic day of shredding. Shout out to TJ & Jesse Mizell of Jam Master Jay + Run DMC fame, for blessing the crew with Terri Projects x Winter Get Down custom bibs!

We had some incredible riders in attendance, including our fam Alex Caccamo, plus world-class skateboarders Ishod Wair and Dashawn Jordan! Honorable mention going out to local legend, Steezy Neevy! The day was packed with action—and even included a secret meetup in the woods near Chairlift 4 for a High Altitude Shreditation: a special wellness session blending breathwork and sound bath to get our riders in the right mindset.

We headed back to Outbound to kick back and relax ahead of our signature peak-time party night: The Send Off. This year, we packed a punch with an all-heavyweight lineup. The one and only Trouble Andrew delivered his high-energy blend of indie punk and dance music, alongside skateboarding royalty and rising R&B star Dashawn Jordan, performing live. TJ Mizell supported him with a DJ set before and after, making his long-awaited Winter Get Down debut, spinning an eclectic mix of hip-hop, rock, and house music, while local legend Lexi Stellwood kicked things off in style. The night was also anchored by Winter Get Down residents and leaders of forward-thinking grooves: Fly Hendrix and Willy Soul.

We woke up to the international holiday 4/20 blazing upon us—and although the night before (and the whole weekend) had already been super lit, we still had a full day of riding ahead! Our pickle brethren, Grillo’s, hosted the annual Pond Skim at Canyon Lodge in Mammoth, and we knew we had to show up and support.

It was a full sunshine day of shredding, filled with unforgettable memories, capped off by watching the Pond Skim—where wild characters launched themselves across the water in style… many of whom didn’t make it across, making for some hilariously epic wipeouts.

We wrapped up our weekender with a nice lil’ pool party, thanks to Outbound Mammoth’s heated pool and hot tub situation. Donna’s Pickle Beer blessed all our guests with their pickle-brined goodness, while our pal Noah Rubin celebrated the holiday with Old Pal’s primo product—complete with a special joint-rolling workshop. The whole vibe was soundtracked by Winter Get Down favorites Angel + Dren, along with Mylia and Lexi Stellwood, who held down a perfect poolside groove.

We wish the riding and fun could go on forever—but all good things must eventually come to an end. Honestly, none of this would be possible without TheGoodLife! Family: our returning Winter Get Down Shred Class alumni from the past three years, and of course, the new shredders who traveled far and wide to help create the incredible vibe we all felt. YOU are the reason we do what we do—and the reason the energy was so good.
